These holistic tricks from years of sustainable flocks keep ‘em comfy—no fuss, just farm girl smarts. Let’s beat the heat together!
Trick 1: Shady Spots

Trick 2: Frozen Treats
Ice with peas or corn—my ducks share ‘em. Hens peck happily; my first summer flock drooped ‘til I froze scraps.
