Seed Catalogs & Proverbs 22:6 Training Up a Child ways of gardens

January 19, 2026|Gardening, Homeschooling, Homesteading

Happy January from Lange Girl Farms! As seed catalogs arrive in the mail here in Southeast Michigan, they’re becoming a homeschool treasure—full of colorful pictures, variety descriptions, and spring dreams. This week, we’re tying catalog time to Proverbs 22:6—“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Just as we carefully choose seeds for a strong garden, YAH guides us in planting truth for a strong life. Come see how seed catalogs are sparking math, science, and faith lessons this week. For labeling our seed starts, our Custom Slate Plant Markers keep everything tidy!
